I'm incredibly late to this "party," but after watching your videos on Shallon Lester, I hoped she would have vanished from the internet after so much negative exposure and time... Nope. It looks like her videos might be a bit more "self-help" themed now, but after watching a video on social anxiety, I can safely say her content has not improved. And as someone who has struggled with social anxiety and has a degree in psychology, I would label her content as harmful. I wish RUclips cared enough to do the same.

Lil bit disappointed by the demonizing of tattoos, i was hoping that was one of the things you would change your stance on. I gave myself a couple tattoos as a minor that i still dont regret now. I think that as long as you're being safe and sanitary, its not really a problem, especially considering that stick and poke tattoos fade faster than "official" tattoos, so even if you regret them, they wont be there forever. Tattoos and piercings are just another way of self expression, just like trying new clothes or dying your hair, and i dont think we should deny kids that? Tattooing is an art form, one that's very near and dear to me, so it sucks to see people in the comments even going as far as to say Blake is self-harming through it. Most people get tattoos because they look cool as shit. That's seriously it. Anyway, I respect u regardless and im sure u had 0 bad intentions, i just havent seen anyone else mention that. Sorry for the longass comment haha (Also im aware this is an old video and doesnt necessarily reflect ur current views lol)

As someone who has gone so long with undiagnosed bipolar, oh. My. God. Saying that going to rehab and getting medications adjusted is… drug seeking??? What??? Going to the mental hospital and getting medicated for my issues saved my life.

Watching this three years later and wow. The fact that this shit happened and people are acting like “oh covid wasn’t *that* bad.” I avoided covid for three years, only getting it two days before Christmas 2023. My entire family had gotten it twice. My grandfather was hospitalized for it. My entire family either had lung issues, or immune compromised. One of my friends who got covid and was high risk, got neurological damage from the treatment. My entire life was shaped by Covid. To see that people walked through Covid and it didn’t affect them when 7 MILLION people have died from it? Infuriating.

This really wasn't that crazy. The other parts of their home are far more strange

There were several songs you used superlative words to describe them like "incredible" so I think the conclusion was not acknowledging there were so many songs you spoke so highly of, not just My Time, but Black Swan, We Are Bulletproof The Eternal, Ugh, psychology addressed, so this automatically puts them at a level than any 2000's boy band with empty lyric songs, so you can't really say they are a revamped version imo, no one ever rapped in western boy bands, especially at their level

Love her music and all, but she's making it seem like the women she's mentioned haven’t faced criticism for their lyrics throughout their careers. I think the main reason why she mentioned those women specifically is because they were charting, and she was bitter about that especially because the trending genre is now rap and rnb, which is different from her niche. I didn't see her call out Taylor Swift, who is another woman who is a pop artist. But she mostly called out the black artists, which is unfair. No matter what, people will criticize, so the best thing to do is just keep your head up, focus on your music, and make your art in peace. Write about what you wanna write about, even if it means you're not gonna chart and get criticism.

Nobody is perfect. People want to cry racism where there is none. It’s a face mask, the caption was probably not thought through well but it’s skin care. People read lengthy books all the time so I’m not sure why that was a point in the video, it sounds very realistic that a man would dress as a women to attack them and it’s not hate to write that down in a book. I saw this video when it first released, and this was one of the first times I'd ever seen a cis person genuinely talking about transphobia and how pervasive it is, and it genuinely made me cry. I didn't even know why at the time, since I didn't know I was trans, but calling out the transphobia within yourself and your audience really opened my eyes, and when my egg finally cracked it really, _really_ helped me process my identity in a healthier way.

Just because Ava Tyson is creepy doesn't make other trans women predators. Otherwise, we could say that all trans women are grifters because Blaire White is, this assertion would have the same level of data to support it. Clearly it's not true, there is no data that proves trans women being more dangerous than cis women and the rates of violence are the same. This has been seen in multiple studies. Y'all complaining are just bigoted, confront WHY you feel like that rather than trying to justify it and you might just learn something about yourself

I am so late to commenting on this video, but i genuinely cannot get over her saying that Pete’s family HAD to do something abusive to him for him to develop BPD. I have it, it most likely came from my mother being a single, overworked mom. Her never being able to be around, and so many different people watching me while she worked is probably a major reason I have BPD. Because of the ever changing environment and not having one stable person in my developmental years. I do not blame my mother for this btw, she was doing the best she could at the time, and has gotten me so much help to manage my BPD when we found out i had it. Also, you can totally medicate for BPD. Mood stabilizers.
